At the "Balancing Social Media at Work and at Home" lunch, we will discuss how to handle your child's use of social media and technology, which begins as early as age 7, to learn rules you should set, pitfalls for the unwary, the current social media trends among kids. We will also learn how to maximize and link our own use of Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, and blogs, as well as other quick Social Media tips of the trade to promote your career and business.
It's a rapidly changing world, and we busy moms can't be left behind to let our children nor our careers flounder. Organizer
Executive Moms Society
We have started this group by word of mouth to form meaningful and lasting relationships with one another to provide each other business opportunities, as well as educational options (female career development, parenting tips, etc), and a social outlet for similarly situated working mothers whose families depend on them to bring in business, bring home the bacon, and bring up healthy happy children. The group is comprised of women from diverse industries, including attorneys, forensic accountants, engineers, investment advisors, real estate specialists, oil & energy industries, marketing, medical care fields, and includes a variety female owned professional businesses. The misson of EMS is to promote diagonal networking among women from diverse disciplines who aspire to progress professionally while celebrating being a mom. Working moms have extremely hectic schedules and limited time to network or mentor and EMs recognizes this. EMS will provide far reaching networking and cross selling opportunities, in the form of quarterly night social events, as well as lunches that address the challenges we face as professional working mothers, such as parenting tips, school application tips, female career advancement, leadership skills, etc. Another goal of EMS is to further the advancement of women, to change “the rules” and create a good ole’ girl’s network, and to support causes and women’s issues in the community. Join us on linked in or facebook, and spread the word!
